The Benefits Of Marketing Strategy Implementation

Marketing strategy is an overall holistic game plan and a long term, forward looking approach to any business or organization with the central objective of achieving a competitive, sustainable competitive edge. Marketing Strategy is the first step in a strategic marketing program that involves evaluating the marketing situation and its implications for organizational growth and development. It is also commonly known as marketing planning or marketing management. It is the process by which organizations build a marketing strategy that focuses on realizing its marketing goals through the most efficient use of available marketing resources. This enables organizations to maximize their marketing potential through the full utilization of marketing disciplines and resources. A marketing strategy is not just a list of features, but an effort to understand what is needed, when it is needed, how to implement it and the impact to organizations and the marketplace.

The primary objective of a marketing strategy is to define and obtain measurable goals through an integrated marketing plan. These goals should be the result of the organization's marketing activities, which must be based on the nature, target and competing markets. Marketing goals are the product or services that provide the competitive advantage. Marketing strategies are plans for marketing the products or services to a specific segment of the population. In today's increasingly global marketplace, marketing strategies have become more important than ever. Strategies are also directed at reaching an optimal level of customer reach for products or services.

A marketing strategy can include one or more marketing plans. Within the context of a larger marketing plan, the marketing objectives of an organization become the driving force behind the implementation of the strategies within the marketing plan. In addition, marketing plans are usually specified in advance and include time frames for action, financial data sources and allocation of resources. An effective marketing strategy establishes a marketing plan, develops a marketing strategy, and controls the implementation of that strategy. The key marketing strategy indicators are those that are directly related to the defined marketing goals of an organization.

In defining a marketing strategy, the goals of the marketing strategy to become the drivers of the strategies. Therefore, the development of a marketing plan should be done with careful consideration of the market and the competition. A marketing strategy needs to be developed that is able to forecast future demand, providing a benchmark against which the success of the marketing plan can be measured. The marketing strategy needs to be able to forecast market trends and behavior, as well as to establish realistic expectations of current market conditions.

The marketing strategies need to be analyzed to determine whether they are aligned with organizational objectives and whether the results of these marketing efforts are consistent with the stated objectives. The overall result of the marketing efforts should be in line with the objectives of the overall marketing program. Marketing involves the interaction with customers, suppliers, and other external entities. It involves creating a positive experience for the customer so that he will become a repeat customer and grow to be a significant source of sales for the company over a period of time.

The marketing strategy should be developed focusing on achieving measurable goals through a series of planned activities, with corresponding short-term and long-term results. The goals may be to increase sales by increasing the number of new customers, to reduce costs by increasing the rate of return on investment, to build a solid reputation for the company, or to increase the loyalty of existing customers. The purpose of each stage of the marketing strategy is to reach the specific business goals sooner rather than later. However, these short-term goals cannot be reached in one year; even a year is not long enough if the company has no plan to achieve these long-term goals. The planning process also must be coupled with an evaluation of each stage by the board of directors and the management to determine if the objectives have been met.

The results of the marketing strategy will then affect the next phase of the plan, which is the implementation of the plan. The marketing plan is to be backed up by the short-term and long-term goals of the organization and the resources needed to make them happen. This implementation will include the hiring of the appropriate personnel, the development of marketing materials to use, and advertising.

Once the marketing strategy and the marketing plan are implemented, the company will need to track the effectiveness of the plan. This can be done by regularly monitoring the progress of each of the marketing activities through the measurements included in the marketing plan. If these activities are not yielding the desired results, changes may need to be made. A key part of the success of any business is the loyalty of its customers; therefore, any changes that may be required to satisfy customers should be made with customer acceptance in mind. By following this advice, the owner of a business that has not yet implemented its marketing strategy can be certain that his company will reap the benefits of its actions.
